Book Cover Design
Creative Eels, this is the time for you to get busy and start designing! We need you to send in your designs for the cover of the scrapbook. Scan your work and email them to me. Remember, the theme colour is sky blue and the cover should be A4 sized. Any material deemed suitable can be used as long as it is not too thick or heavy. We will put up a poll to choose the best design and use it as the front cover of the scrapbook. Handmade designs only, so no computer-processed designs are allowed (except for pics of Sukkie). Include the materials used for your drawing/design in the email.

Book Introduction
We also need an introduction for the first page of the scrapbook. To those who are good in compositions, start drafting the introduction and submit it now!
The intro should be able to express our sincerity and effort in making this present and convey our love to Sukkie. The length should be about 4 paragraphs with not more 8 sentences per paragraph in PURE TEXT, as we want it to fit in one page only. Write in Hangul, English, or Japanese ONLY.
Remember!!! It should talk about us and NOT about Sukkie. Start with introducing all eels from different countries, how we decided to put up this project, how we manage to pull through despite our different geographic locations etc.

Country’s Introduction
Use the country’s theme color as the paper color of your country’s introduction.
If your country chooses yellow, you can use all shades of yellow. If green, all shades of green, and so on.
Country’s introduction is limited to 2-3 pages. You can put pictures of your country, tourist spots, food, culture, etc. Make it as if you are promoting your country and inviting Sukkie for a visit. Make it brief.
Pictures should be small and neat, using photo paper.
Please STICK it PROPERLY and NEATLY and make sure that it will not be destroyed in the process of mailing. DO NOT FOLD THE PAPER.
It can be made by the coordinator only or a collaboration of all. Whichever is easier for you and your group.
Messages
There will be 4 messages per page. It should only consist of 5-10 sentences. You can put your picture (thumbnail size) if u like but make sure it fits on your allocated space together with your message. REMEMBER!!! Each of us is only given ¼ of an A4 size paper; messages that are too long will not be included. Use notepad paper (white paper with line) and cut out the message neatly. Messages should be handwritten and please write it legibly.
Poem or a letter … it is all up to you.
Messages should be STRICTLY in Hangul, English or Japanese only.
Not too long Not too short. We don’t want to bore Sukkie from reading it.
[VeeVee: i suggested notepad paper coz its supposed to be a message compilation..it looks real, like we tore out messages from our notebook and compiled it for Sukkie...it gives a feel ]
Responsibility of the Coordinators
The coordinators have the responsibility to unite all the eels in her country. Collect ideas and work on it. She should be open to suggestions since we want this to be a group effort.
She is responsible in collecting all the messages. Make sure that messages are cut out neatly and do not fold it to prevent creasing. Put all the compiled messages into an envelope and mail it to Weng together with the country’s introduction.
Coordinators: Make sure you have at least 8 participants/messages.
FOR other countries like North America, Europe, Africa and others
Since there are a few eels participating in your country, we will be combining all your messages. You will be given a whole page for everything. You can use any paper color(pastel) you like EXCEPT for the colors already chosen and blue.
Make an introduction for your country then finish it with your message for Sukkie. Handwritten please.
Arrangement of countries
To be fair to all, it will be arranged alphabetically with other countries at the last.

i forgot to ask before, but how long should the introduction for my state be?
ReplyDeleteIt is up to you as long as it all fits in a piece of paper (landscape style).... make sure you have 1/2 inch margin in all sides. Lastly, your personal message should be in a notepad paper. Just stick it to the colored paper you are using.
ReplyDeleteok thanks ^^ me and a friend of mine are going to make our's together. is there a way to find out if anyone else participating is from florida? if we're the only 2 then could we put other things on the message page to make up for the empty space? also for paper color, is pale orange and a sandy tan ok?
